The Evening Bag

2015-02-22 15.43.40Last weekend was Valentine’s Day, and as I dug out an evening bag for our meal out, I thought to myself, hmm, perhaps I should do a bit of an updated WIMB post. I mean evening bags are totally different to day bags..! ๐Ÿ˜‰
2015-02-22 15.43.56This beautyย was a steal from Primark, I bought it back in October for my birthday and it was only about a tenner. Not bad eh?2015-02-22 15.47.41Plus it has this awesome lining inside – so pretty!2015-02-22 15.48.09I have quite a few small clutch bags which don’t fit a huge amount in, so I decided I wanted to get something a little bigger – mostly for the purpose of fitting my camera in – and I have to say this one is deceptively large!2015-02-22 15.52.15Okay, so on to the contents.2015-02-22 15.56.07I guess the main thing that changes from my day bag to my evening bag is that I don’t take my normal huge purse with me. Say hello to my one and only Mulberry item – isn’t it a beauty! Nick bought this for me a few years ago for Christmas/birthday – I forget which – and I love it, it smells so leathery and yummy too ๐Ÿ™‚ I keep telling myself that one day I’ll have a Mulberry bag for it to go in, but I think I’ll need to do a little bit of saving for that one!2015-02-22 15.58.56I’ve been donning a red lip more so recently on evenings out, so I tend to carry this lip colour and liner with me for much needed top ups. Also if I get annoyed with the red lip I have a back up nude just in case ๐Ÿ˜‰2015-02-22 15.59.40Didn’t I tell you this bag was big – big enough to fit a brolly in it along with my fairly large camera and all the rest of this crap. ๐Ÿ˜‰
It’s such a good in between size, but still looks diddy enough to be considered an evening bag. It has a strap so you can wear it on your shoulder or you can tuck the strap in and just use it as a clutch bag. How very versatile indeed. ๐Ÿ™‚
