So in no particular order:
Made.com
I absolutely love Made. I’ve bought a lot of different things from them over the years – a coffee table, bin (!), wall clock, bedside tables, sofa bed, chairs… They do some really good deals on key pieces of furniture and quite often do express delivery too, which is always useful! They also have they’re own ‘social network’ in the form of Made.com/unboxed, which I wrote about here – go on, go and have a look! I’m desperate to go to the showroom which opened up recently in Soho, I definitely need to set aside some time for that!

A bit of a cliche, and I also think it goes without saying, but at the same time I felt I did have to mention it…
Ikea!
Everyone who knows me know that I am obsessed with Ikea. I think you get two types of people in this world, ones who love a trip to Ikea and ones who hate it. I am definitely the first. I love just wandering around the showrooms planning what bits and pieces I can incorporate into my own space. I could honestly spend a whole day there, starting with a wander round the showroom, a pause for some Swedish meatballs (YUM) and then heading through the rest picking up all the candles – because, candles – grabbing unnecessary tupperwares, lamps and wine glasses, and of course not forgetting the cushion department… Ahh, I’m well overdue a trip I think, getting a bit delirious thinking about it! I would say that probably over half of our furniture is from Ikea, and I’m NOT EVEN SORRY. 🙂

Cargo Home Shop
Cargo is not hugely well known, and as far as I’m aware it’s only based in the home counties. My friends back home on the coast don’t know it, and my family in Scotland don’t know it either, but it’s a great little chain of shops! Our sofa was from there, a big corner sofa for only around £700 (it was on offer at the time), and it’s the comfiest thing ever. Honestly such a bargain. Also our dining table was from there, we got a really good deal on it as it was the display model – solid wood table, bench and two chairs for £300. Winning. I’ve also picked up numerous decorative bits and pieces from Cargo for such good prices.

West Elm
A little more on the pricey side of things, but I just love everything that they do. There’s quite a big store on Tottenham Court Road and I love just wandering around in awe of everything in there. It’s all just. so. pretty. One day I will be rich enough to furnish my whole house in West Elm furniture… 😉

Next Home
Absolutely LOVE Next Home accessories. The actual furniture I find is fairly expensive for what it is, but there are some really great finds in terms of accessories. I was actually just wandering around one of the Bournemouth stores the other weekend just browsing at all the fun bits and bobs and the beautiful cushions – they really do do the best cushions in Next!

Let me know if you have any other home store recommendations, I’m always after new places to browse!
This post is so well timed. We’ve just bought our first house and so I’ve become a little obsessed with tracking down blog posts about furnishings. I haven’t got a clue where to start! We’ve been for a jaunt round Ikea (had my first ever plate of meatballs) and I think we’ll be buying a few bits from there and accessorising them to look nice. I love Ikea too, think we’ll be getting our sofa and bed from there! I’m going to check out the other places you recommend!
Oh I’m glad! Congrats on buying your first house too! Hope you enjoy getting all your furnishings – I love shopping for home stuff (as I’m sure you can tell!) 🙂
Great post, I love shopping for interior design goodies and furniture 🙂

Nothing like a good furniture to decorate your interior! Thanks for sharing the list of interior shops. I usually look for great finds to make my space more interesting, I think I need to check out these shops. Of course, IKEA is a popular choice and they usually provide unique , stylish and comfortable pieces.
This post is great! I’m currently looking for a new chair to go into my new flat in September. I’m definitely going to check out these websites. already in love with made.com
