I am a self-confessed plant killer. No matter how hard I try, plants just die on me. BUT, new leaf and all that (LOL), I am determined to have plants in my new space. And as you can see, I’ve started small, with a set of 3 mini cactuses from Ikea…
I hear not a huge amount of effort is needed to careΒ for cactuses…
*quickly googles it* okay, so they need watering once a month – I can manage that, right? Plus, look how cute they look on my shelves! It says they need sunlight and they should get enough where they’re currently sat, so I reckon I’m good to go. π

I tell you what, I’m going to water them right now – who knows how long they were sat in Ikea without water – so hopefully that will inject some life into them for the next month.

I used to have an Aloe Vera plant growing up, and that actually did okay (although I suspect my mum was probably watering it…) so I’m thinking – if all goes well with the cactuses – I might pick myself up one of those too! Blimey, check me out, I’m gonna have a room full of plants before you know it!
And then they’ll all be dead within 3 months.
Wish me luck! π
